Why did I pick this up? I hate military romances unless they are cheesy bodyguard romance or paranormal and in no way relating to real life. 

I know the author is a military spouse, so it’s just surprising that she would choose this right person wrong time deployment trope, but maybe it doesn’t bug people the way it bothers me.

This book was just over the top, unbelievable, and frankly completely tone deaf.
