I highly recommend that you all read the graphic novels and then dive into this book (what happens in the graphic novel comes first and then this book comes second.) This was a pretty intense character study, bonds of friendship, and romance(?) However, for a novel about fencing, there was very little about fencing incorporated overall unlike in the graphic novels where there’s a spilt between fencing & character backstory/build up.
