An unusual premise for this book, with a homeless woman as the main character, and the setting a shelter where she is finally given a roof over her head.  Whilst raising some tough issues, not least that we are all just 2 payslips away from homelessness ourselves, this is a light-hearted tale of friendship, second chances and a touch of romance.

Likeable characters, OK writing from an author who obviously knows this setting well, but will never set the world on fire and needless to say no surprises along the way.

But a pleasant read for a rainy Sunday
