I had read a previous review about how this book tends to start out slow and revolves around Court intrigue versus a true plot. I can agree with this statement. It isn’t until the last 25% of the book that the main plot points start to emerge. I’m not in love with the main character, Poppy, due to her constantly complaining about things, but I’m excited to continue reading the series about her relationships and the plot that finally emerges at the end. If you read this book, just stick with it till the end! Also, there is a high “heat” warning for this book!!
