I love this series so much. The world is so rich and compelling. I love the role of Witness as a combination priest-detective-lawyer - it's one of those things that just says "this world is very different from yours" in a subtle way. The characters are wonderful and nuanced and the descriptions are gorgeous, and the plot is interesting and engaging.
