I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was mysterious and fascinating.

To start off, I love true crime podcasts. I spend many hours a day listening to them, so I knew this book was probably going to be a favorite. Within the first 2% of the e-book, in addition to true crime podcasts, there was murder, mystery, a possible wrongful conviction, a bookstore, and mention of The Shining / Overlook Hotel - pretty much my favorite things (I'm not a murderer - you know what I mean). AND THERE'S A CULT!

I loved the family dynamics in this book, and it was interesting to see how everyone dealt with each other when heavy stuff was going on. I liked the characters, and it was a fun story. There were some red herrings, so I wasn't 100% sure what happened until they said it (which I appreciate).

I'm so happy that I am across this book, and I hope Kathleen Barber writes more thrillers because I will be all over them. I finished this within 24 hours, which means it kept me thoroughly invested and excited.
