Azur & Gemma: An Evolution of Love! 5 Stars

This was my first Zoey Draven novel and I must say that I am beyond impressed!

Azur, the Kyzaire of Laros (which is a pretty big deal), pays the debt of a well known family, the House of Hara, and in exchange takes the eldest goddaughter, Gemma as his bride. However, Azur has an underlying reason behind his generosity and we soon find out he has an axe to grind with her family. Gemma is oblivious to the feud and struggles to fit into a world not her own with Azur making her life difficult at every turn. Azur soon learns that there is more to Gemma that meets the eye and his world is rocked when he finds out why.

This story was well written and followed easily. There was not one time in this books that I wanted to put it down or skip ahead. Azur was sexy and delivered some of the smexiest lines in the book. Gemma was firm yet vulnerable and I really loved her character and the inner turmoil she went through was plausible and I love how this book ended. DESIRE IN HIS BLOOD has plenty of heat and will definitely deliver the steam!

I can’t wait to read more of Zoey’s books! I am definitely moving on to the next book in this series.
