I am not entirely sure what I thought about this book - I think the main thing here is that it was a YA book which I have not read since I was... well, a young adult. And I found it incredibly immature, two dimensional and without any depth or authenticity. The Norse mythology themes with eerie haunting vibes is what drew me in, and I have no idea whether I feel like it met the mark as I can't get over how juvenile it all was. The story had premise but without the conviction. Also I listened to it so that may have been a factor? Anyway, I'll leave it there - it obviously wasn't for me!
