I might have liked this more if the beginning hadn't focused to heavily on Yennefer and Geralt's relationship. I'm also slightly confused about that because I thought Geralt was stripped of his emotions when he became a Witcher. But it seems like he's awfully obsessed with Yennefer so maybe I missed something. He also seems to care a whole lot about Destiny for someone who doesn't believe in it, which did get redundant towards the end.

Either way, thank goodness for the audiobook because that helped me get through a lot of this. It wasn't boring, and there was always something going on, but it skipped around in time a lot and didn't really tell you when it was going to do that. It would just be a new chapter in the past which also took me out of the story. I wasn't aware going in that this was another collection of short stories, but even in the middle of the same short story there would be a large portion of a chapter taking place in the past with no warning. Very disorienting, especially if you're listening to the audiobook.
