I had such a fun time with this series. It's silly, camp, and a lot of fun.
I honestly love the characters, some are full-on mustache-twirling evil. But I think that's the point. This book lays everything on really thick when it comes to character archetypes. Nobody is fully "good" in this book/city, not even Ness. She is admittedly very self-serving, and she's okay with that. Even with how abusive his father is, Cy might be the most "innocent" of the characters. He wants to see and hope for the best from everybody. The exchange between Him and Ness near the end of the book when they express how they feel for each other was really cute, and I wish he had at least kissed her on the cheek or something. They are adorable together, and I hope they can find a way to be together for a while with him being a Vampire and her not. (I don't know how his aging will affect anything since he hasn't been one long).
The epilogue makes me wonder if there's going to be a spin-off or something, I hope so I don't want to leave these characters or this world yet.
