it's not that it's actually awful but it was so dense and slow it made it boring and unbearable. it didn't help that I couldn't connect nor even specially care about any of the characters–not to mention I did hate how the female characters were treated. the only one who seemed nice was lena and she didn't even appeared much.
I get the book wanted to show how andrew and ed gravitated towards each other, how they had such a special and strong bond but de
l didn't deserved to be treated that way, it's repulsive. idk, it irked me how female characters just didn't had any other role than being used sexually by men who, yeah they had repressed feelings and such but still.. (that one teacher doesn't count but come on I can't properly talk about her without some grade of spoilers )
