This was such a long book! And because it was my "before bed" book, it took me forever to read it since I only read for a short-ish time before bed each night. So the multi-month read time is NOT reflective of it being a bad book.

I was not a huge fan of the original Shadow and Bone trilogy. So I went into Six of Crows with those negative expectations, and I think that lessened my enjoyment of it a bit. I liked Six of Crows, but I feel like I could have liked it more because I really liked this one. I love the characters. They were all wonderful and I loved how their relationship as a team/friend group grew throughout the books. It was their friendship that I liked most.

And Nina being able to control the dead was absolutely awesome!
