standalone: book 1 in the Chances Harbor series
final thoughts: I want Jakob to be my dad! I loved him so much. This book was so good from start to finish and kept me thoroughly entertained. The dynamics between the characters were so good and I loved the extensive found family tropes all throughout. Ethan’s dirty talk was so unexpected (but immensely welcomed obviously). Didn’t know how much I needed a dirty talking ex-NFL star calling his cowboy boyfriend “darlin’” 🥰
This perfectly mixed thriller and romantic elements to make for a quick, exciting read. I just wish we saw more of what happened to Alex’s dad!

“it’s okay to like girls, like boys, both, others, none or… whoever you’re attracted to. Or not attracted to. It’s okay to want to have sex, or a relationship, or to not want any of that at all”
