Once before I read a book where everyone involved was manipulative… the ex-wife. The new woman. The husband. It was great. Probably better than this one, but I can still appreciate this one.
It was really really good and I definitely will recommend it to people. 

Commentary from while reading…

- 6% I know this is supposed to be a twist on a gothic classic… and I’m pretty sure that classic is Jane Eyre… but I’m getting more Rebecca vibes. 
- 8% for someone broke, she doesn’t grocery shop like she is broke. Easy Mac? Seriously? I’m not broke and I won’t buy it because it’s uneconomical. One tiny 2oz thing of easy Mac is going to cost if you buy in bulk at like Costco like $0.75 to $1+ if you get a small pack at a normal grocery story. A full sized 12 oz mac and cheese pack is the same price. For 6x the amount of food. Maybe it’s just me, but that really bugs me. Also, those little individual yogurts? 100% convenient and great that they have all those flavors, but if you are broke it is so much cheaper to buy one big tub of yogurt. 
- I’m an extremely cheap grocery shopper always looking for the deals so this is apparently a major pet peeve of mine 😂
- 51% this John guy is really pissing me off. She needs to change her number. 
- 62% did B kill Blanche and block the memory out…? 
- 63% “Hello?”, I call. “Is someone there?” Excellent, I’ve gone the full horror movie. Soon I’ll be running down to the basement in my underwear in the dark. 
- 68% if she doesn’t tell this man that “oh you’re just faking it. It’s not that bad” as he has a fucking heart attack on the floor just like he said to Jane as she lay dying, she will have missed a golden opportunity
