Revenge is a great tale of well, revenge. It picks up right where the previous novel had left off and the pace doesn't dampen for a second. It would have been believed that the world had been made right and that the characters could go back to the way things used to be, but unfortunately (or fortunately for us as readers) the characters could not forgive and forget. The stakes are as high as ever and we are allowed to go on a journey with all of them in their continuing adventures. The same characters are back and we get lots of screen time with all of them.

The strength are the characters. Each are unique and individual, which makes it hard to pinpoint a favorite. I loved how each has their own personal agenda, with a clever way to show the selfishness of all of them. They all believe they are trying to help the kingdom, but they discover the true price of revenge. The audio being narrated by Travis Baldree is fantastic and does an excellent job of giving each character an individual voice.

This is a series that I continue to get excited by. It has so much political intrigue with some intense fighting as well. I really like the idea of the dragon riders and the Fae that are continually causing havoc throughout the novels. I really want to know more about them as I felt in each novel we were barely scratching the surface. AC Cobble is quickly becoming an author that I will instantly devour each of his books!!
