Wish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult

5.0

OK, this book was everything I was expecting and more. Picoult's writing is just BEAUTIFUL and raw, and it brings you back to those harrowing feelings of 2020 in a way that future generations will read and get snippets of even if they didn't live through it. We can all relate to this one just by being global citizens. The character dynamics are well-written, you can really feel the creeping up of the quarantine and the NYC hospital havoc and just all those things we don't want to remember, but somehow Picoult makes both relevant and interesting to read. I'm always in awe of her writing in general, and this book SURPASSED my expectations.
