A Kingdom of Blood and Betrayal by Holly Renee
medium-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? No
- Loveable characters? It's complicated

🌶️🌶️🌶️/5.
I don’t know what it was exactly because while Adara was frustrating to no end, I still kept reading because of Evren.
200 pages of this book and there was no development and then when finally things starts going it ends.
Adara didn’t do anything to change her fate and only started training basically because she had to. She couldn’t decide herself what she felt. She knew to her bones that Evren was her mate but she spent almost 200 pages denying it. I don’t actually see what Evren sees in her at this point but I’m still reading the next one and that book will decide the fate of this series for me depending on the type of cliffhanger it is.
