Booted is a dark cowboy romance and the third and final installment of Pam’s Trails of Sin series. Booted absolutely stole the show for the whole series for me. Jake and I were not friends in book 1 (Knotted) and Maybe annoyed me quite a bit in book 2 (Buckled), but book 3 (Booted) is just amazing. The chemistry between Lorne and Raina was off the charts, and I adored both of their characters. Lorne is an ex-con, coming out of prison after 8 years. We meet Raina in book 2, Buckled, and she is this fierce, Native American woman who demands respect. Lorne was a great character to me. He had his hard edges and would say things out of anger, but he knew when to apologize. He also had respect for women that I love to see and I adored the way he spoke to his sister, Conor. I loved the details and how realistic both Lorne and Raina’s struggles were with their pasts. Pam absolutely knocked Booted out of the park and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
