When the Stars Go Dark by Paula McLain
5.0
This Absolutely demolished me.
“I see the girl I was on my first day in Mendocino, guarded and wounded, watching a simple sunset. The green flash of luck, Eden called it.
But really it was the first moment I saw what love might still do to save me, if I had the courage to let it in. “
Some of the most emotional and atmospheric crime writing I’ve ever read. Like if Jane Harper, Tana French, and Stacy Willingham had a book baby.
I will read anything Paula McClain writes.
5/5
