Dead Woman Scorned: The Patience of a Dead Man Book Two by Michael Clark
dark
mysterious
medium-paced

I liked a lot about this installment of the trilogy. Learning Mildred’s backstory, it was easy to feel a connection with her, and I love a complicated villain. My complaints are minor in the grand scheme of things…I still don’t care for Tim, I’m tired of his never ending ex-wife bashing, and his conversations with Holly feel unrealistic and forced. Unfortunately, this made finishing the book more of a struggle than I’d have preferred. I’m still invested in Mildred’s story and will finish the trilogy, but I’m starting to hope she takes out our protagonist couple.
