“At night is when I unleash all my vulgar thoughts on paper. At night is when my fantasies come alive. At night is when I write.”
“Normal is overrated, sweetheart. What’s fun about always knowing what comes next?”
I liked the idea of the book. The plot was unique and interesting.
I liked Lucille as an FMC. She was a strong character who knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to go for it. I also liked Dubh as an MMC and would have loved to learn more about his early life before Crimson Manor.
I enjoy a good stalker romance, and this one didn’t disappoint. I liked the relationship development and dynamic between Dubh and Lucille, and how chaotic they were together. I also liked how Dubh helped Lucy grow as a character and become more confident (in her sexuality and otherwise).
The revenge plot and the murder of Lucy’s husband happened quite quickly and maybe could have been prolonged a bit.
I can’t wait to read the next book about their adoptive daughter, Daisy.
