The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson
3.0
Gave it 5/5 stars on a first read, however after re-read i would definitely downgrade it to 3.5/5, this book is really interesting, though it sometimes suffers from too much wordiness, it probably would have fit in 400ish pages instead of the 700 it is at.
The world building is also not as good as the first one, and after reading other sanderson's novels, I noticed that some of the characters here just felt flat to me. The lack of female characters, besides Vin is also a major ick (Tindwyl could count as one, but was mostly used as a love interest afterwards, same for Allrianne).
However, one thing I would always credit Sanderson for is his foreshadowing and the atmosphere in his stories, the world is so rich and interesting that you would push through those 700 pages.
