1/3 (maybe a bit more) of this book was pure, creative recap, while the rest was original plot trying to move the storyline forward. The recap was kind of annoying since it was so long. Usually Rock Riordan does a lot of recap but he doesn’t go on forever with it. I mean, it’s a series for a reason.

Other than that one complaint, I liked the direction of the plot. While I wish more new stuff had been introduced, for what was introduced I enjoyed reading overall.

The character development was great too. The only problem I saw was towards the end where Nightmare/Nova suddenly became completely swallowed up in her original evil mindset. It makes me wonder how she’s going to revert back to being somewhat pro-Renegades and liking Adrian.
