Really slow start for me. Had to pull myself through the first 150 pages. Then it quickly speeds up and gets tense. You get a better understanding of characters and personalities at this point and it gets much easier to understand the world. Sort of a murder mystery who done it style story. Ending had me on the edge of my seat for book 2!
