This is the largest discrepancy I've ever had between how I feel about a book and how I feel about the audio version of that book. The book itself is absolutely amazing! Obviously, the more you appreciated The Big Bang Theory as a show, the more appreciation you'll likely have for the stories and reveals within this oral history, and as an avid fan myself I adored every second of it. However. If you loved The Big Bang Theory and its cast, do NOT listen to this book. Not only do the actors not voice themselves, but they couldn't even get different voice actors for each person. It's basically four voice actors doing groups of people (male cast, male crew, female cast, female crew), and it really, really takes away from it. These are iconic characters and voices, and I think there was a big disservice done by not insisting on them voicing themselves. The book itself gets five stars, easily. It was funny and sweet and I feel closer to these characters than ever before. The audio version gets one star. This is definitely one I wish I had opted to read.
