Come Together: The Science (and Art!) of Creating Lasting Sexual Connections by Emily Nagoski

THIS BOOK HAS HEALED A PIECE OF MY SOUL AND EXPANDED MY MIND.

I FOUND MYSELF HIGHLIGHTING SO MANY PASSAGES. JUST GET THE BOOK AND THANK ME LATER. IT'S ABOUT SO MUCH MORE THAN SEX — by the author's admission, it's not as simple as, say, getting handcuffs or scheduling sex.

Nagoski goes into the deeeeper stuff like beliefs to break down, shame, "normalcy," trauma, disability (e.g. when growing old together), gender BS in heterosexual-type couples (YOU WON'T BE ABLE THE UNSEE IT), how to fight effectively (including examples of how not to fight), and most importantly, WAYS TO HAVE FUN, BECAUSE PLEASURE IS THE MEASURE.

Did every chapter apply to me? No. Did I find it slow at times? Yes. But progresses into something so densely packed and thought-provoking and, towards the end, I kept thinking, DAAAANNNG, THAT'S THE REALEST THING I READ ALL WEEK.

Just get it. Even applying just two chapters would be worth the cost of this book. Even flipping to a random page helped me understand a lot.
