Miss Spelled by Sarah Belle

4.0

Lou Mercer is on cloud nine when her boyfriend Aiden proposes to her on their One-Year Anniversary. However, when Lou finds out that Aiden will soon be working closesly with someone she went out with, she is horrified. She and Hunter Wincott did not part on good terms - and he also has a past with Aiden, having made his life hell at boarding school. Lou is afraid that Hunter will wreck what she has with Aiden - so she turns to Internet witch Majique to get a spell that will erase her from Hunter's memory.

However - the spell goes completely awry and she manages to erase much more. Can she put it right before she loses Aiden forever?

This had the potential to be silly and cringey but it wasn't - it was so, so funny. Parts of it really had me giggling like an idiot (Sergeant Walnut, the lactose intolerance, the Bikram Yoga) - Sarah Belle is a great writer and I love anyone who throws in pop culture references. Hunter is a COMPLETE d*ckhead, he reminded me a lot of Hugh Grant's character in Bridget Jones' Diary - only worse. This was only 180 pages, so it was a quick read, but it's perfect for snuggling up on the couch with.

A great, warm, feelgood read. Perfect for reading in between heavier material. Thanks to the publisher & Netgalley for providing a digital copy in exchange for an honest review.
