I was REALLY enjoying this up until the very end!
I love the combined feeling of The Martian with some elements of These Violent Delights sprinkled in, but throw the characters in the COLDEST possible environment and have them uncover hidden truths. CONCEPTUALLY cool, execution, eh.
I absolutely loved the reveals, how I was able to piece things together, and how organically it all came together. The timelines didn't confuse me and I was able to keep up with how we were moving through each thread, but I will say, it could've been outlined with dates/approx timelines, anything lol.
That being said, I was really conflicted with the pacing, but definitely did not like the ending and how open ended it was. I have a serious gripe with books that claim to be standalones but don't end with that feeling (which, to be fair, idk if this claims to be so but I see no #1 ahead of it).
