pacing was a bit of an issue - this book probably could’ve been 50 pages shorter. otherwise, i thought it was really good!! i don’t read much of the thriller/mystery genre, YA or older, so i feel like this was a pretty good introduction to it. i saw the twist coming a little but i don’t think that’s a bad thing. it just shows how deeply ingrained and evident that racism is in our society - it’s a problem that is important to educate ourselves on as white people.
