"I refuse to settle for a future that will deny me the happiness I deserve—the happiness we both deserve."

it was cute, very fast paced, I mean you could totally read this in one setting.
overall I liked it, maybe some things didn't appeal to me but I believe that's only because of pride and prejudice itself. the original story has a couple of things that un this retelling don't do well–just because the main plot. while in p&p the main issue was the role of women, here it has to change since oliver faces different kind of problems. I think the author did his best to take what was needed and re shaped it so it fits the story better–wich is not an easy thing.
still, while I understand I'm not the main public meant for this book, so even if it didn't resonated to me, I didn't hate it.
as I said overall it's a nice story, as long as you don't dissect it as you would to a classic, it's funny and nice and even if it where "trashy", non-straight people (and trans in this specific case) also deserve those kind of stories so yeah
