Heartbreaker by Sarah MacLean
5.0
We love a man who
- praises a woman for more than just her looks
- is polished but also knows how to fight
- notices her when no one else seems to see her (SWOON)
- eagerly jumps into races and games with his love interest
- fiercely protects those he loves
- stands up for the mistreated
- has skills in the bedroom
- can keep up with the Hell’s Belles
And I do so adore the Hell’s Belles, their found family, and their fight. I love how Sarah MacLean writes strong female protagonists.
As for the audiobook, I give the narrator’s vocal choices for Henry two enthusiastic thumbs up but found her voice for Adelaide to be a bit grating. I still thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook, though.
