I get more frustrated with a book when it could have been pretty good than when itโs super bad. And this could have been really, really good.
๐ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ ๐๐ป๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป: Lights Out by Navessa Allen
๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐: Into the Darkness Trilogy
๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐น๐: E-book on Kindle
๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฟ๐ฒ: Dark romance
๐ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐: Stalker, golden retriever MMC.
๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ป๐ผ๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐: Aly is an ER nurse who is overworked and exhausted. Her mindless scrolling takes her to The Faceless Man, a thirst trap account of a masked man. Little does she knowโฆ heโs watching her right back.
๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐: Let me get right to it. This book is a shining example of why having a content editor is valuable.
This book had an interesting plot. It had a couple twists and turns. It had fun characters with laugh-out-loud banter. But it was 200 pages too long. TWO HUNDRED.
I only stayed because by the time I wanted to DNF it I had read 300 pages and to me, that will not go wasted *shakes fist*โฆ but jeeze. Endless inner monologues and recounting entire scenes we JUST read, it was exhausting and took all of the fun out of it.
Iโm bummed, because I really liked Josh and the concept of the book. Itโs frustrating that it didnโt pan out.
