This is an atmospheric and magical wintry tale to curl up during the Christmas season. The magical realism prose redeems The Snow Song a dreamy read.

While the prose is the forte of the book, I must admit that the plot isn't always very easy to follow through (so it took me a while to get to know the characters).

Despite my concerns with the ambiguous plot, I think this is a good story to pick up if you're into magic realism & are up to some seasonal readings.
