I was so excited for this one! I loved Riff from the get go! I knew he was something special! I was not disappointed at all! I loved everything about this one. I also loved how it was the first book pretty much but showing you what happened when we saw the small parts of him in the first book. I LOVE when books do that to be honest. It fills in that need to know, “what the hell happened with so & so” now you don’t have to wonder so much about what happened with him, because we get to see. I love his forwardness, and vulgar talk. (okay to others it may be vulgar, I call it sweet talk ) for example:

“Let me have just one night to fuck you senseless. I guarantee I’ll have you speaking in tongues before the nights through.”

I can only agree with Aubrey when she says:

“There’s just something about him that screams naughty sex on a stick,”

That is exactly what I thought when I read about him! Naughty sex, and well who could go wrong with that? But then we get to see into the heart of him. Just a little. He does let us see his softer side. Explains why Oreo’s are so damn important to him and why he will kill someone over them! There is quite a bit that we do get to learn about him. Which made me fall more in love with his broken spirit! We get to see that he is not this rock god, he is a normal person with issues just like the next person. He does act like a complete asshole at one point and I wanted to reach into my iPad and just slap him and tell him “STOP BEING AN IDIOT”. Michelle has made me fall even more in love with a fictional character that I loved to begin with and I do have to say that we BETTER get a novella for him also! Lol Yes I won’t be happy till I can get me another Riff fix!! I cannot wait to see where things go from here for Riff and Aubrey. There is a lot he has to work on and through.

I did feel like it was WAY too short, that may be in part that since I love me some Riff I never seem to get enough and this was NOT enough! I finished and wanted to call Michelle and tell her okay now I got questions and want answers… I know it won’t be the last we hear of him since we still have Tyke and Trip to go and I know he will be in the background of those since they are all in a band together and all. But I did feel like there were some things that were touched on, but didn’t get the closure I wanted on them…like his father. So that just MUST mean she is going to do a novella right? Well either way I will be keeping my eye out for a new Michelle Valentine book! I have yet to come across one of her books that I haven’t liked yet.
