This book was just ok. It took me a long time to get through, and I do agree with another reviewer that the balance of information is off; it really rushes through the past 40 or so years. I think I'm a hard person to please with a book like this as someone with a gender studies degree and, well, I'm a thirty-something-year-old who has been very online for the past 15 years. I feel like all of the beats covered here have been covered in Jezebel and other feminist-leaning online publications. Nothing felt particularly fresh or like the author was providing a new angle or perspective. I think young people who weren't online when Kim Kardashian "broke the internet" and stuff might get more out of this.
