Cinder by Marissa Meyer
5.0
Whatever I expected it definitely wasn't this. When I saw the cover and the description I thought that it looked like another Cinderella retelling with some mixed sci-fi stuff just to make things more interesting. But Good Lord. I couldn't have been more wrong. This book was everything and honestly at the beginning I couldn't really decide which genre this even was.
The first chapter looked like a typical romance. You know the cliché stuff. Girl meets boy, who is btw really hot. She has feelings for him, but isn't really capable of admitting it to herself. Meanwhile the boy is totally flirting with her.
The we sink into all that racistic bullsh*t. And frankly, it only made this world look more real. You know, just your typical seemingly ordinary and perfect world, which turns into a living hell for some, because of things they cannot change or affect in any way.

Then the author adds a huge deadly plague into this whole mess. And the book becomes more of a thriller. And last but not least from the part one of the book the thing with Cinder going away happens and it turns into a horror.
And this was just the first 1/4 of the book. If the start was this good, just imagine how amazing was the rest.
As for the characters, they were all so amazing and believable. As for the Queen it will take me a while to understand her better, but what are the next books for.
The only thing that bugged be (because I just can't be only gushing about this) is that the ending was VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY predictable. Like come on. The hints were all over the place. You would have to be blind not to see that.

There isn't much anything else to say that the book was amazing and I absolutely loved it. Marissa Meyer's writing is so adorable and catchy, that the hours flew by without me even noticing.
