My Favourite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren
3.0
My first Christina Lauren! I wasn't planning on starting my Christina Lauren adventure with this book, but as you'd have it, I got this book pretty cheap and I was in the mood for something easy. While I don't think this was the greatest romance in the world, something about it felt super personal for me. I found myself identifying pretty heavily with Millie (yes, even the not so great things about her) and it was eye-opening to read about her experiences with secrecy and openness. There are a lot of things that could annoy someone about each of the characters, but I think each problem is tackled and challenged in a way that satisfied me. These characters felt human and I really appreciate how Christina Lauren wrote them. I really enjoyed the middle section of this book, but the beginning and especially the ending fell a little bit flat. I'm not sure I liked how this wrapped up, but I think if you like Christina Lauren's other books this would be a fun read (even if it's not the greatest). I'm not a huge romance reader so I have trouble rating and gathering my thoughts on romance novels, but I'm pretty sure I liked this, though I wasn't blown away by it.
