* Disclaimer: I had a great time with book and read it pretty much in one sitting but i had issues with it. *

I have mixed feelings about this trilogy. I feel like this could've been at most a duet. Book 2 failed on various levels for me but maybe that's because i had expectations and one of them was character growth. Needless to say i didn't get it so book 2 felt, for the majority of it, like it wasn't needed.
With this book though, i got what i wanted from book 2 plus we finally had Evren's pov!
I finally saw Adara grow into herself but i must say it took a bit for her to get there. She wasn't exactly as i expected her to be but i also wasn't disappointed.

I was expecting a bit more of her training and sub-consequentially about her powers. I know it's the power of the stars mixed with Darkness ,which is Evren's power, but besides that i can't really tell how the power works or what the reach is. Is the sky the limit? I wouldn't know. All I know is that it can grab unto people and things and oppress them but that's more Evren's power than hers. So basically what she could do was destroy an enchantment of death magic and that's pretty much it. In conclusion i know more about Evren than Adara and we only got Evren pov in this book so... yeah.

I never really doubted Evren (because fated mates) but i feel like we needed his pov in the previous book and that way that book could've been better. I loved Evren's povs and i honestly wouldn't have minded having this book all with his povs and maybe a couple in hers.

Although Adara was betrayed by him, she was very stubborn and denying the obvious was too much for me. She knew from the jump that they were fated mates and i understand to a point holding to your pride and denying that to him but c'mon don't spend half of the book denying not only to him but EVERYONE that he isn't your mate, that didn't fly with me. This isn't a rejected fated mate trope or anything like that, quite the opposite.

I liked the teased  scenes we had of Thalia and Sorin but why did we had a chapter of them together? I feel like that was very random and again not really needed because it didn't added anything to the story. The chapters after that could've played exactly  like  they did  without it and i still would've look forward to their book.

Evren's close friend is no more and i see why Holly did it but why not put him in another kingdom and find someone else to pair with them? I just saying this truly because it hurt seeing that scene play out and how everyone felt about it. Again i understood why that decision was taken.

Am i continuing the series? Maybe. If the next book is only one book or maybe two than yes, probably but if it's another trilogy i probably won't bother but we'll see what happens.
