This was a sweet and sexy read as promised by the author. The banter was fun and the meet-cute made me smile.

This wasn’t laugh out funny - it was a good time and a quick read. The plot revolves around two college students who spend most of the time in the book talking and falling in love. There is literally no angst here but enough banter to keep you engaged. A lot of the scenes read like a play with the back and forth - there is little description to slow down the interaction. I compare this to other new adult books where the interactions come across as banal (watching movies, studying etc). Here there is enough spark here to keep your interest.

However, I will say that there was some extended sex scens which dragged for me. This is a matter of my preference as I felt it was just a little long. I did think objectively it handled consent very well and spent time making sure that the heroine was comfortable with what was happening. The hero was great - patient but still came across as a real young man.

I am going to check more from this author but I would recommend this for romance readers who are looking for a good new adult romance which is not angst / drama filled. This is rom-com done right.
