Joseph Smith and the Mormons by Noah Van Sciver

3.5

3.45 mostly enjoyed this bery unique graphic novel and learned a lot. It told a lot of good history, context and did have almost a personal perspective in the sense that it really did try to tell the story of the Founder. The art style was interesting though not amazing. And the dialogue was somewhat stilted. I think the story could have been much shorter, but I understand that authors intent to write a thorough history as he worked through his own emotional labor with the faith/founder. Overall interesting, but I would not recommend unless you really want to learn about Joseph Smith, otherwise it’s a slog.
