I should start this out by saying - I enjoyed the show much more than the book. But in no way does that mean that I didn’t like the book. I’ve read plenty of Stephen King books and this one is much more creative and interesting. I thought I’d get annoyed with another time traveling story about saving Kennedy but I just couldn’t with this one because it’s so unique. And the nostalgia of the 50s and 60s is amazing. And although he wrote about it in a nostalgic way that most authors do he doesn’t exactly sugarcoat it. King makes it clear how prevalent racism was at the time. I also wasn’t expecting a romance so well done in this book. Either way, I’d suggest that you check out the show and read the book!
