I've hemmed and hawed over the stars for this book. I initially gave it 4 and then bumped it down to 3. I'll probably bump it up to 4 again. It's really a 3.4 or 3.75 for me. It had a good flow, I loved having a differently abled heroine. I especially loved that within the confines of the book, her life in a wheelchair was basically old news. Her illness and subsequent life changes weren't the focus of the story, even if they were the catalyst. I appreciated being able to see Levi and Jocelyn just living their lives as opposed to struggling through how to live life in a wheelchair. I don't feel like I'm describing this well! ANYWAY.

It was a sweet story, it kept me engaged, I liked all the characters! Great first book in the Smartypants Universe! I'm guessing that Karla Sorenson will be back with stories for Levi's cousins and I'll definitely be picking them up.
