The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
5.0
When I tell you this book was for me what Bella was for Edward, I mean it.
It took me much longer than it should have to read this because life got busy, but as soon as I get more time on my hands I devoured it.
Olive spoke to me in a way I haven’t had a character speak to me in a long time. The internal lack of confidence in herself where she believes it when Tom tells her the only reason she got the talk is because she’s ‘sleeping’ with Adam… eurgh girl I’ve been there. This is without even mentioning the addiction to Pumpkin Spice.
Then, where do I even start with Adam? As blasphemous as it is to say, I think he may be on par if not topping the book boyfriend charts, knowing a certain High Lord off the top spot. The gentleness he had with Olive and not pushing her to become something more without it being her decision was *chefs kiss*.
Though the story was predictable as with any romance novel, it was a slow burn that still had some action to it which is what kept me so enthralled. That and a sprinkling of ‘my gut tells me something else is going on here’ when it came to Tom.
The banter between all of the characters made them that much more real, Marcus coming out with a quote that instantly reminded me of my best friend; ‘I hope he has explosive diarrhoea as we speak. I hope he gets genital warts. I hope he has to live saddled by the largest, most painful haemorrhoid in the universe.’
A proper feel good read that I will be recommending until the day I die! I’m ready for every other book Ali Hazelwood writes, this woman has my soul!
