This book reminded me of everything I love about reading. An epic winding adventure, stories within stories, star crossed romance. There was so much here, I know I will not only want to read it again, but will need to to catch each little clue and message and fully understand it. Like The Night Circus, this is masterful world building. My expectations were quite high for this, and it blew me away. I don’t know if Morgenstern plans to write another book. If she does, I’m happy to patiently wait another ten years and spend it exploring the starless sea.
