2.5

Following book 1 and the betrayal that happened, I expected major groveling and a shattering reveal.

I liked book 1
the connection between the guys and their girl was done with us understanding each's background

why this book failed for me:

1- River gave in immediately... it didn't even take her two weeks to fall in someone's lap. She even said it herself. She was too horny to fight them.
2- the  Deus ex machina that the author kept throwing. River falls ill, the kid, the stalker, the safe house., the mother shoplifted.. everything worked for the men.
3- did they really grovel? they were remorseful for sure, they promised never to hurt her,, ok, but honestly, what did they do to show that?? it was decent.
4- That stalker storyline did not make any sense and was not needed. I expected them to solve it or protect her or something.... nope, we had to wait till 92% to have that little drama reveal that we saw a mile long.
5- The kid was really really really annoying. It is always tricky to write kids in adult books. Lyric was not.
6- This had no business being 600+ pages long. many chapters were stretched with internal monologuing and repeated flashbacks.

It was a decent read
but i would not recommend to anyone
