Pieces of Us by L. Ashley

5.0

No spoilers here, this is going to be about how I totally found myself as the MFC. Wow, I really felt like this was a re-telling of my life from childhood puppy love to teenage I think its love and I'm starting to notice my body sucks and other girls as atrocious to adult love of that first love and the trials we go through trying to hold on and be something amazing.
Growing up I met some pretty rotten Billies (character in this book) out there, I knew them then and know they are still the same rotten individuals now. Those are the people who pointed out our/her flaws and made us/her feel less than. But did Amity (MFC) let that ruin her? Nope and yes, did she have an ED? Yep, but she overcame that and it was nice seeing this in the book. This is not something talked about enough. Are there other triggers to watch for in this book that are also not talked about enough, Absolutely, so check your triggers.
I liked Linc (MMC) from the start but he did play at my "what a jerk" strings at times. That's ok, Amity saw through and kept on going, even if it wasn't easy. Do I think he regretted how Linc regretted fully how he treated Amilty at times throughout this book, yeah and he felt it in my eyes.
Perfection written right there!
I loved the book, I want to read more of L. Ashley's work in the future because I think this has a pretty real feel to the story lines presented. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for me.
