Amour Amour by Krista Ritchie, Becca Ritchie

This book was written for me. I bought new aerial equipment halfway through reading. I loved every second. This book made me find the joy in romance again
My main complaint with many romance books is that the relationship is a foregone conclusion, so they often don't take the time to really show why characters should be together. This was not the case at all, there is so much dedication to the development of these characters both together and apart before they even kiss. Sure there is tension along the way but they take their time and try to hold back until they simply can't contain how much they care for each other.
The passion for the circus is where this book really shines though. Neither character ever asks the other to compromise their goals for the sake of the relationship. Their dreams are always the mutual priority of the pair which actually makes the relationship stronger. I also really appreciated that nothing was ever easy for them; too many stories make their characters perfect and effortless in their skill but this was not afraid to say she needed to improve and work hard to deserve her dream.
The family element is also truly special. It's rare to see so much time given to how a new character fits in an entire dynamic and not just the simple pairing. By the end you can tell she really is a member of the family (I do wish she had learned Russian though). I am excited to read the sequel but am saddened that every single family member didn't get their own dedicated book. I just want more of this little world
