“Lock up your libraries if you like; but there is no gate, no lock, no bolt that you can set upon the freedom of my mind.”
I'm a little disappointed that I've never read a Virginia Woolf book. I feel like it should have been a safe place for me to retreat to when I was 20. She was way ahead of her time and there are so many thoughts and ideas that resonate with me.
However, I'm happy that I was finally able to read one of her books and now knowing a little about her, her story and her way of thinking, I can't wait to dive into all of her work.
This is an excellent and quite important book. It is one that all women should read at least once in their lives.
