What a beautiful, captivating book! Ta-Nehisi Coates writes so lyrically and artfully, it’s incredible. He was really able to transport you around through sights, smells, and sounds through his words. The contrast between the magical realism and the harsh realities of Virginia slavery was well done and made it hard to put down.
