Great book so far, but my interest has waned as the content has moved into more recent (~1500-1600s) time periods. The biology and anthropology of the first several chapters has taken a more economic and western-world shift that isn't personally for me. I might revisit at some point, since the research is quite thorough and the concepts interesting.
